Unfortunately, Konami took the shortcut of just making Worlds into a DS game. Several years ago, I'd be happy about a DS game but now I'm less than excited for the game... not knowing a stupid lockout system is gonna be there (and researching online shows it's a \"common\" strategy). Do I have to believe a game like Destiny, that has a NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS way to store the cards, is a way better way to do it? No. Absolutely not. So, if you're looking forward to a DS game and it's not a Western styled card game, you won't be happy with this game. The game plays like they are just making a casual game just for a dime a dozen reasons (I have faith that in the very near future, the company will bail on this direction and go back to the DS games style of Gamecube, Storytelling, Card-collecting, PMD, Puzzle).
All the real features of the DS Yugioh games, like customizing your character, trading, etc were taken out in this one. Not even a sequel! My message to Konami is to add a sequel or whatever, keep the DS Yu-Gi-Oh game great, a year later, and just make this... worse! Well, I guess not LESS worse, as they'll argue. I'd say it's as bad as it gets.
Business as usual gets my card game a thumbs up. If you want to own a card game, why not play a card game and if you want to play a card game that is full of depth, it can be found in Yugioh. If you want a game that will get some attention though, put less depth in it and more accessibility. Make it easier to play, make it less complex and make it easier to understand. Make it more fun to play and be clearer. I would have rated it much less. People will play more often if they like the game and like the game. 7211a4ac4a
